Doctor of Physical Therapy

Longevity-56

As a native of the Pacific Northwest, I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon (‘sco Ducks!) where I developed my passion for physical therapy and earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology. I achieved my goal of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University while living in Pasadena, CA with my wife and our dog, Lilly.

I am extremely grateful to all of the mentors and patients who shaped my treatment styles over the years. However, the experience that shaped my approach to physical therapy the most was a shoulder injury I experienced while wakeboarding in 2015 that left me in pain for many months with no answers. After inconclusive MRIs and failed joint injections, I had shoulder surgery that revealed several areas needing repair. Despite the successful surgery, my pain and dysfunction still persisted, and I battled chronic pain for many years. Luckily, I was able to overcome my pain and return to function through continued dedication to my physical and mental health. I now have a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human body and believe that constructive education and a tailored plan can empower others to take control of their own health and work to overcome the obstacles they face.

Because of my experience, I always look to provide my patients with the space to share their story as I can empathize with any adversity you may face. As a physical therapist, I truly value spending meaningful time with my patients on a regular basis so we can work together to overcome any functional limitation, pain, or post-op recovery in order to get you back to what you love doing.

In addition to working with traditional orthopedic conditions, I also have a passion for treating patients with a history of falls, vertigo, Parkinson’s Disease, MS, or stroke.

While outside the office, I love to spend time outdoors hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, or mountain biking. When I’m inside, you’ll find me introducing all my friends and family to the wonders of Virtual Reality games which gets everyone excited to move their body!
